We’re releasing our award winning Ukrainian Golden Ale in cans for the first time, and turning the can release into a fundraiser. Proceeds from any Peremoha cans or pints purchased in the taproom will be donated.
Last year, we were able to raise over $12,000!

Proceeds from this beer collaboration will be donated to Liberty Ukraine, an organization we have personally been working with, to help purchase protective equipment, medical supplies and rehabilitation therapy for Ukraine’s front line.
HOW THIS CAME TO BE
Several days before the war started in 2022, we were connected with Varvar Brew, a brewery in Kyiv, Ukraine. They were working towards an official verification of the Ukrainian Golden Ale style in the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP).
The Ukrainian Golden Ale has been in the market since 2009 under various style names, and one way to make this style official was through international collaborations, and thus - we got involved! With Suzie Compton (one of the owners) being from Ukraine, it was an easy yes!
The Ukrainian Golden Ale is somewhat of a hybrid between a Belgian Golden Strong Ale and an English Strong Ale, but is truly unique to Ukraine. Their brewer was able to make it out to Chicago and brew with us, and our version features coriander, and we were extremely proud to win Gold at the 2022 US Open Beer Competition for Peremoha. For our 2023 version, we were also able to use Ukrainian hops!
